Our Unique History | | Three generations and they still have their first Kenworth-- new in 1980, now with over 3 million miles, which has been refurbished into a "show truck." Little did Grandpa Neil McDermid know when he bought his first dump truck in 1949 that he had started a trucking dynasty. |
Family has contributed to the success of our company since the beginning. We have had up to 15 family members employed at one time.
The McDermid families' one daughter Jenny has contributed to our success in the past where she worked as an office assistant. Now the family contributes five members to the excellence of our company: Michael and Mary (the Owners), their other daughter Julie (a Driver), and their sons Steven and Mathew (also Drivers).
We truly are a family oriented company where family members and staff combine to form an unbeatable service team.

 | | Michael started the long haul service in 1975, and has since broadened the service to include all states in the lower 48. He has also expanded the original McDermid Trucking into four separate corporations under the name McDermid Corporations.
